WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AN INTENSIVE RETREAT? Therapeutic intensives offer deeper and faster healing than weekly therapy sessions are able to provide because they go deep on one specific goal with focus and are not interrupted by session end time just as the processing is really beginning to flow. Rather than stringing therapy over time each week and holding the information, closing it up, and opening it again in an inefficient manner, therapy intensives allow for processing to be enhanced by following your natural processing patterns and needs without undue interruption. This may equal less disturbance overall, more cost-effective care, and feeling better sooner rather than later. While each person is unique and not guarantees can be made as to the amount of material that will be processed or healed, great strides toward understanding your particular needs, survival strategies, stuck points, and attention to helping you move through them can offer amazing relief from the intensity of carrying the heaviness you currently feel and experience in everyday life.
An intensive retreat is a time to step away and focus on your needs, your healing, and your care for a brief chunk of time so that you can go back to your everyday life feeling more grounded, understood, peaceful, and effective.
Over the course of three days, you will receive intensive therapy on a topic of your choice. Intensives are 12 hours in length and include*:
2 hours of Assessment, Case Conceptualization, Identification of Goal(s), and Preparation
9 hours of a Combination of Direct Therapy Time with Breaks as Needed for Self-Regulation
1 hour of Follow-Up Debriefing and Future Steps Planning
